JANNAT GARGI

Co DIRECTOR & PRODUCER

Jannat Gargi is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producer and creative film executive with 25 years of experience, leading content divisions at Westbrook, Vice and Vulcan.

She has developed and produced commercially successful, impact-driven films tackling critical issues, including Academy Award-winning Best Documentary Summer of Soul, three-time Academy Award-nominated Flee, Emmy-winning Body Team 12, The Reason I Jump, STEP, LIFT, Copa 71, and Master of Light.

Gargi is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Documentary Branch and the Producers Guild of America.




DAVID DARG

Co DIRECTOR, CINEMATOGRAPHER & EDITOR

David Darg is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning director, producer and cinematographer whose work has taken him to more than 120 countries.

His films include the Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning Body Team 12, You Cannot Kill David Arquette, Bad Actor: A Hollywood Ponzi Scheme, and Fletcher Street.

Before moving into filmmaking, Darg worked for nearly a decade as a journalist and photographer covering humanitarian crises and conflicts around the world. His films have been released theatrically and distributed by HBO, NEON and Hulu.




QUESTLOVE

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Questlove is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, musician, producer, author and cultural curator. Best known as the co-founder and drummer of The Roots, he has spent decades shaping music, television and popular culture.

His directorial debut, Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature as well as the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance.

Beyond filmmaking, Questlove serves as musical director for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with The Roots and has produced, performed and collaborated with some of the most influential artists of his generation.




JAMES POYSER

FILM COMPOSER

James Poyser is a multi-Grammy Award-winning and Emmy-nominated producer, musician, songwriter and composer.

A longtime member of The Roots, Poyser has collaborated with artists including Adele, Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, John Legend and D’Angelo.

His film and television work includes Two Distant Strangers, Boxing Day, Long Bright River, The Equalizer, Cherish the Day, Rise Up, Sing Out, Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas and Password.
